Air filter element ∅95×50 mm for V-0.6, W-0.9 compressors

140,00 MDL

Replacement air filter cartridge ∅95×50 mm for piston compressors with V-0.6 and W-0.9 pump blocks. The filter protects the cylinders of the piston block from dust, abrasive particles and contaminants in the intake air. Timely replacement is the key condition for the service life of the piston group and valves.

Description

Purpose and operating principle

The air filter is mounted on the intake port of the compressor’s piston block. During operation, the cylinder draws atmospheric air through the filter element: the pleated paper band traps dust and solid particles, while clean air enters the cylinder. The inner metal mesh keeps the element’s shape and protects the paper from rupture under suction.

If the element is clogged or damaged, dust and abrasive particles enter the cylinders directly — accelerated wear of the piston rings and cylinder bore begins.

Purpose

Pleated filter band

Large filtration area in compact dimensions

Inner metal mesh

Keeps the element’s geometry, protects against rupture

Crimped end caps

Band fixation, seam tightness

  • Compact dimensions ∅95×50 mm are typical for filters of piston blocks with output ~0.6–0.9 m³/min.
  • The element is not repairable: a clogged cartridge is blown out (see maintenance schedule), and when worn it is replaced entirely.

Installation recommendations

  • Before installation, blow out the new element with compressed air from outside to inside — to remove residual production dust.
  • Mount on a dry, clean intake port, free of oil traces and abrasive.
  • Make sure the port seal (rubber ring or filter housing gasket) is intact — drawing unfiltered air past the filter is unacceptable.
  • For V-0.6 (V-type cylinder arrangement) and W-0.9 (W-type) blocks, check the number of filters: each cylinder has its own port — order the required number of cartridges at once.
  • After installation, check that the filter housing (cover) is tightly closed and has no cracks.

Air filter maintenance schedule

Interval

Action

Every 100 hours (or monthly)

Inspect the condition, blow out the cartridge with compressed air from outside to inside

Every 600 hours (or once a year in clean conditions)

Complete cartridge replacement

Unscheduled

Immediate replacement when the inner side is dirty or discolored

In dusty conditions (woodworking, construction, production) the replacement interval is reduced several times. In a clean room — once a year.

Analogs and comparison

The ∅95×50 mm cartridge is a universal element for Chinese piston blocks of the V-0.6 and W-0.9 type, manufactured by different plants under identical markings.

Exact manufacturer cross-reference numbers for this size are not confirmed — select by measurements. Before replacement, always compare the outer and inner diameters as well as the height with the original element of your block.

Common mistakes

  • Replacing a “similar” filter without measuring — the ∅95×50 mm element looks similar to adjacent size types, but will not fit the port without play. Measure with calipers, not “by eye”.
  • Running with a perforated or crushed mesh — a damaged inner mesh lets dust bypass the paper band.
  • Missing or torn housing seal ring — drawing unfiltered air destroys cylinders faster than a clogged filter.
  • Blowing from inside out — trapped dust is driven deeper into the paper. Blow only from outside to inside.
  • Replacing only one filter from the set — if the block has several cylinders, all cartridges are replaced at the same time.

Consequences of delayed filter replacement

A clogged air filter is one of the most common causes of premature piston block failure:

  • Reduced output — clogging limits the volume of intake air, the compressor takes longer to build pressure.
  • Valve failure — reduced suction creates increased vacuum, accelerating wear and destruction of the suction, discharge and check valves.
  • Abrasive wear of the cylinder-piston group — running without a filter or with a damaged element lets dust and abrasive directly into the cylinders. Scuffing, overheating, the need for a major overhaul of the piston block.
  • Economic losses — increased power consumption, and repairing the piston block can cost 70% of the compressor’s price.

Applications

  • Piston compressors with V-0.6 and W-0.9 blocks (0.6–0.9 m³/min) and compatible analogs, selected by dimensions.
  • Auto services, workshops, woodworking, construction sites — wherever these compressor types operate.

Expert opinion

“This is a wear part that really determines the service life of your piston block. The cartridge costs 140 lei, while an overhaul of a V-0.6 or W-0.9 block costs several times more — up to half the price of a new compressor. Blow it out every 100 hours, replace it once a year or as needed, and the block will serve as long as possible.”

FAQ

How to select an air filter for a V-0.6 / W-0.9 block without a part number?

By dimensions: measure the outer diameter and height of the old cartridge with calipers. This element is ∅95×50 mm. If your measurements match — the filter will fit.

How often should the air filter be replaced?

Blow it out with compressed air every 100 hours (or monthly). Full replacement every 600 hours (once a year in clean conditions). In dusty conditions — significantly more often, depending on the element’s condition.

How to blow out the filter correctly?

With compressed air from outside to inside, opposite to the suction direction, at a distance of 15–20 cm, until visible dust is removed. Never blow from inside out — dirt is driven deeper into the paper.

What happens if the filter is not replaced?

Reduced output, risk of valve failure, dust entering the cylinders — overheating and wear of the cylinder-piston group. Block repair can cost up to 70% of the compressor’s price.

How many filters does one compressor need?

On V-0.6 and W-0.9 blocks each cylinder has its own air filter. Count the block’s cylinders and order the corresponding number of cartridges.
