KQB2 series features
- Compact and lightweight. Compared to the previous-generation KQB series (without “2”), the new KQB2 series is roughly 30% shorter and about 62% lighter at the same mounting dimensions.
- Grease-free. No lubricant is required to install the tube, which matters for clean production environments and the food industry.
- Push-in connection. The tube is inserted in one motion, no tools required; removal is done by pressing the release button.
- Inline tee geometry. All three connections (thread + two tubes) sit on the same straight line — easy to fit into a straight run without extra bends.
- Wide range of compatible tube materials. Suitable for FEP, PFA, nylon, soft nylon, polyurethane, and polyolefin tubing.
- Resistance to harsh environments. The nickel-plated brass body and FKM seal provide corrosion resistance and performance across a wide temperature range.

Important when choosing
The SMC model code breaks down as follows: KQB2T (type — inline male run tee), 06 (6 mm tube diameter), 01 (thread size code — R1/8″), S (thread sealant present). When ordering similar fittings, check all four parameters — tube diameter, thread type, thread size, and sealant presence — since visually similar models (e.g. KQB2T06-02S with R1/4″ thread) are not interchangeable. Also don’t confuse a tee (T, three connections) with a stud fitting (L/H, two connections) — these are different fitting types with a different number of ports.
