Maintenance Schedule

Checking the Oil Level

Daily before starting. Check the level at the red mark on the sight glass.

Daily

First Oil Change

Drain the oil, flush the crankcase, and add 1.8 liters of fresh oil.

After 100 hours

Scheduled Oil Change

Regular oil changes according to the maintenance chart.

Every 300–500 hours

Tightening the cylinder head bolts

Tighten the M8 bolts to 25 Nm (tolerance 22–27 Nm).

Only on a completely cool engine. Before working, disconnect the power supply and relieve the pressure.

After 8 and 50 hours

Air Filter Maintenance

Checking and cleaning 3 air filters (part number 21175003).
Complete replacement of cartridges (part number 21175007).

Clean every 100 hours · Replace every 600 hours

Checking Belt Tension

The deflection of the A1600 belts is 5–6 mm at a force of 30–40 N.

If there is any deviation, adjust the engine position.

Every 300 hours
Compressor models using the LB75 unit
The block is installed on the following popular models:
  • SB4/S-100.LB75
  • SB4/F-270.LB75 (including the LB75B modification)
  • SB4/F-500.LB75
  • SB4/F-500.LB75T (and TB modifications) – installations with two units on one receiver.
For the LB75 piston unit, sources indicate different oil filling volumes depending on the specific compressor unit model and the type of table used:
  • 1.8 liters — according to the main technical specifications table for the SB4/S-100.LB75, SB4/F-270.LB75 and SB4/F-500.LB75.
  • 1.8 + 1.8 liters — for tandem models (with two blocks), such as SB4/F-500.LB75T and SB4/F-500.LB75TB.
  • 1.9 liters — indicated in the parts summary table for the LB 75 block.
  • For specific modifications of Aircast installations volume may be less:

    • 1.52 liters – for model SB4/S-LV75.P.
    • 1.45 liters — for the SB4/S-LV75.L model.
Important recommendations for checking the level: Regardless of the exact capacity, the oil level in the crankcase must be within the red (center) mark.  The level must be checked daily before starting work..
For the LB75 piston block, the tightening torque of the cylinder head bolts depends on the thread type of the fasteners used. According to the detailing, M8 threaded screws are used to secure the heads in this model.
Here are the exact values and recommendations from the instructions:
  • Tightening torque for threads M8:is from 22 to 27 N m.
  • Recommended value: The Aircast installation manual for piston blocks of this series also specifies a specific value –25 Nm.
Important rules for carrying out work:
  1. Frequency: Checking and tightening the bolts must be carried out after the first 8 and 50 hours of compressor operation. This is required to compensate for thermal shrinkage of the gaskets.
  2. Tightening condition: Tighten the bolts only after the piston block has completely cooled to ambient temperature..
  3. Safety:Before starting work, be sure to disconnect the compressor from the power supply and completely relieve the pressure from the receiver..
